This was my 4th book by Kitt and she never fails to interest me. I can't say this one was my favorite, but I actually liked the plot for Falling Down. For the most part, Kitt is all about the taboo and the smut, but this one had a very sweet love story, which surprised me.WARNING : There are very detailed rape scenes in this book. The main character had been dealing with sexual abuse since the age of 12, and couldn't seem to avoid bad situations. I felt like the author handled this with a dash of realism. Often, the aftermath of abuse can effect a person to the point of making them act out in ways that others wouldn't.I really loved the way the male love interest was patient with the girl he had started to fall in love with, not pressuring her for sex at all. I already said that the book surprised me, but it really did. It was nice to see a real love story in one of Kitt's books, one not born out of a sexual relationship, but instead allowed to grow on its own, leaving the sex for later as the icing on the cake.
