I really wanted to like this one. I really did. Maybe I was expecting more of a fun love adventure from the title. The back story killed it for me. So much of the book focused on Hadley's past with her father (which sort of bored me), that the story of Hadley and Oliver got lost in the shuffle. For as old as the characters were (the guy was in college), the book read very middle grade in content level. Not that there's anything wrong with clean books, but even the kisses seemed tame.Even though I only gave the book 2 stars, it wasn't bad. There are some people who would probably enjoy Hadley's journey. It just wasn't for me.
