Picked this one up for free at B&N for my ereader after hearing many positive recommendations for the series.I think I might have gone higher on the rating if it had been any other scenario than cowboys. They just don't do it for me. Is it fair to rate a book on the characters if you go into it knowing you're already biased? Probably not. After all, some people really love their cowboys and the author wrote for those people, not me.BUT...given that, this was a fun book. I'm not usually a fan of what I call the 'increase to decrease' type romances (starts heavy on the sex with little to no plot, then the plot develops later in the book), but I understand sometimes that readers of this specific genre don't always want to wait for a slow build romance like you're going to find in many traditional romances. It's funny, but I think I liked the m/m side story better. I'm a fan of reading about obstacles, and found it amusing that the author set it up like Ward did in BDB with Qhuinn and Blay, where you weren't even getting close to a resolution in book 1.I'd recommend this one for fans of very light menage (this wasn't really the focus) and true love stories. In the end, the story was about the HEA, which is not a bad thing either.
